What is Project Equip?

Project Equip is a brand-new initiative under North American Missions Training Institute, designed to equip believers to engage in the Apostolic mission. This online, bachelor-level certificate program consists of eight courses (24 credit hours) covering topics such as Missiology, Biblical Leadership, Cultural Analysis, and more. Courses are taught by experienced Apostolic leaders, each holding a minimum of a master’s degree.


How much does it cost?

The tuition cost for Project Equip is $1,200* ($150/course). The application fee is $50 and the estimated cost for books and software is $950. The estimated total cost of the program is $2,200.

*Note: During the application process, the option will be given to register for the entire program up-front or individual courses. If students choose to register and pay for courses individually, the cost per course will increase to $180 (entire program tuition: $1,440).

What does a “bachelor-level certificate program mean?” Is this through a Bible college?

This program is not run through a Bible college but is an independent certificate program offered through North American Missions Training Institute. The quality of the course material and the workload expectations will be at the level of the last two years of a bachelor’s program, with all the instructors holding a minimum of a master’s degree.

CAN MY SPOUSE ATTEND WITH ME?

Yes, Project Equip offers a substantial reduction in tuition for couples who enroll simultaneously. The tuition for the joining spouse will be $25 per course or $200 for the total program. They are still responsible for completing their own application and paying the $50 application fee.

What are the courses?

Courses include Missiology, Discipleship I & II, Biblical Leadership I & II, Cultural Analysis, Apostolic Teambuilding, and a Capstone.

Is there an application fee?

Yes, there is a $50 non-refundable application fee.

Are there any academic prerequisites to do this course?

The prerequisites for self-directed learners are as follows: High school diploma or equivalent, age 21 or turning 21 during the 8-week course, and pastor’s approval

Is there financial assistance available?

Yes, North American Missions offers a limited number of $500 scholarships to students who are already accepted to the program. The scholarship application can be found at https://form.jotform.com/210945301383046.

When do courses start?

The program is offered on a rolling schedule, allowing students to enter at multiple points during the year.

 

Can I sign up for just one course?

Yes, applicants are given the option of registering and paying for courses one at a time or for the entire program at once

When the program is completed successfully, what certificate will be awarded?

Participants will be awarded a certificate in Missiology, with a Church-Planting concentration.

Is this specifically for potential church planters?

While this program’s emphasis is on church planting, the course material will be useful for any believer who wishes to engage in the Apostolic mission. Courses cover a range of topics from Missiology, Discipleship, Leadership, Cultural Analysis, and Apostolic Teambuilding, that will benefit anyone in ministry.
